Capital Cause Corporation is a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization founded in 2009 with a mission to teach philanthropists how to pool their financial resources and volunteer time to support local social enterprises and entrepreneurs. We believe that when communities invest in each other, everyone grows.
Over the past 15 years Capital Cause has built a reputation for connecting people with purpose to the resources, relationships, and tools they need to create lasting economic impact in their communities.

About The Black upStart
The Black upStart is an official program of Capital Cause Corporation. It was created to teach entrepreneurs how to build businesses that are ready for a grant or bank loan, with a focus on scalable, sustainable business models that can grow beyond the founder.
Through The Black upStart, Capital Cause delivers AI education, business development training, and workforce readiness programming to underserved entrepreneurs and communities. Our students learn the tools, strategies, and frameworks they need to compete in today's economy.
